Interview prep¶
Study notes for a senior full-stack (Java + React) interview, built from my CV, my portfolio (rj8228.github.io) and my own projects.
If you only have one hour
- Read Tell me about yourself aloud twice.
- Read the Prayog pitch, then redraw the architecture from memory.
- Skim the CV line by line: every bullet has the question it invites.
- Read the cheat sheet.
What is here¶
| Section | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Tonight's study plan | A timed plan for the evening and the morning |
| Cheat sheet | One page to read in the last 15 minutes |
| Tell me about yourself | 30-second, 90-second and "why are you leaving" answers |
| CV line by line | Every bullet on the CV, the question it invites, and what to say |
| Work at J.P. Morgan | STAR stories and technical depth for each work bullet |
| Projects | Prayog (flagship), Galois, the AI work |
| Skills Q&A | Common questions with model answers: Java, concurrency, JVM, Spring, Kafka, React, JS, data, cloud, AI |
| Design & coding | A system design method, worked designs, Java coding patterns |
| Behavioural | STAR story bank and questions to ask them |
How each Q&A page works¶
Questions are grouped by topic. Each answer is folded: say your answer out loud first, then open it.
Example: what is the difference between == and .equals() in Java?
== compares references (are these the same object?) for objects and values for primitives. .equals() compares
logical equality, as the class defines it. Override equals and hashCode together, or hash-based collections break.
Boxes marked Fill in need a detail only I know (a number, a name of a tool, how long something took). Fill them before the interview: a specific detail is worth more than a polished sentence.

This site is public. It holds only what is already on my CV and in my public repos. No employer code, data, client names or internal designs.
